Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four children born in Newark NJ on the 9th of August, 1963. Their parents include gospel singers Cissy Houston - born Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick was also a singing sensation. The mother of Whitney and Whitney began singing professionally at the New Hope Baptist Church, Newark at the age of fifteen years old. They sang backing vocals for Chaka Kans' smash hit in 1978 Im Every Woman. In 1981, she was a model, and was featured on the Seventeen cover. She also provided back vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls. The quality of her work as the vocalist featured in New York funk group Material attracted the attention of several big record labels like Arista, with which she signed her contract in 1982 and remained for the remainder of career. The year 1985 saw the debut of Whitney Houston turned out to be one of the most successful debut albums ever. The album contained several hit songs such as How Will I Know You Love Me, Saving All My Love For you and the greatest love of them all. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping singles consecutively. It sold three million copies the first year and 25 million globally. The album won her the first six Grammys. Whitney, her album Whitney, released in 1987 and featuring popular tracks How Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, was a follow-up to her success from. However it came with The Bodyguard (1996) that established her as the top selling album in music. While the movie itself and her performances in it weren't widely appreciated, the album's soundtrack and her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You made the singles and albums charts for several months, and she sold over 44 million copies across the world. Her daughter Bobbi was born March of 1993, the year she got married to Bobby Brown. In the same year her use of drugs became well documented and she started using it daily until 1996.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman as well as political journalist for CNN. The anchor also hosts a few weekends shows for the network including Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Her work has been for different renowned channels in the past as well, including NBC and CBS. The awards and honors she has received include her inclusion on Elle magazine's Women in Washington Power List. She is known to have amazing anchoring and reporting skills, and is admired by young journalists. She is also a loving mother of her son, despite being a graduate from George Washington University. She's married twice. She's currently unmarried. Bash is a fan of all her followers.
